Garden Re-Leaf raised a whopping £140,000 for charity this year

It’s been revealed that Garden Re-Leaf raised a whopping £140,000 for charity this year – the most successful yet.

Success for Garden Re-Leaf day

Garden Re-Leaf (www.gardenreleaf.co.uk) is a nationwide fundraising effort by garden centres all over the country, raising money through green-fingered events. This spring – the fifth Garden Re-Leaf Day – saw garden centre staff and customers joining in on dozens of events including 24-hour ‘plant-a- thons’, charity walks, cake baking and dedicated TV shows. Plus of course there were some fantastic deals on gardening plants and products on offer at our garden centre in .

All proceeds go to Greenfingers, a charity which builds gardens for children’s hospices across the UK. So far they’ve built 51 gardens, helping over 3000 children and families.

At a ceremony to present the cheque, Greenfingers trustee and founder of Garden Re-Leaf Day Boyd Douglas-Davies thanked the hundreds of garden centre teams, suppliers and of course individual customers who took part in this year’s event – now the biggest charity fundraiser on the gardening calendar.
