The town of Ross on Wye has won Gold in the Heart of England in Bloom awards 2011- a massive achievement!  Overall the county of Herefordshire won 44 awards - its' best ever
Well done to all the "Bloomers"!

In 2011 we were involved with a major planting sheme to help bring a neglected area known as the Blake Garden back to its former glory. With the help of a number of volunteers and local business people the gardens now look much better and can be enjoyed for years to come. This year we will continue the restoration so this will remain an ongoing process.

Every year there is a special week, appropriately starting on Vaentines Day, to encourage us all to think of our feathered friends, provide food for them, as well as give information about the nesting habits of birds!  We certainly have plenty of food and nest boxes and other items in stock to help you, and you can find further information the British Trust or Ornithology (a great charity) websbite here.
